The paper strips are a nice thickness for little fingers to handle, though I wish the loom was a bit sturdier. My daughter finished her first owl design in about an hour and was so proud. It’s a solid introduction to weaving without being too frustrating.

My niece really took to the animal designs, especially the owl, though the paper strips did fray a bit at the ends if she pulled too hard. It kept her occupied for a good hour and the finished piece looks lovely on her wall.

My six-year-old needed a little help threading the first few strips, but once she got the hang of it she finished a whole zebra in one afternoon. The paper strips are sturdy enough not to tear when little hands tug them through.
